Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is located in the capital of Kenya and is the largest airport in the East and Central African region and a major hub for Africa. In 2013, the airport welcomed a total of 6 million passengers.
TuffInnovations headed the initial facilitation of the steel pre-fabrication, fabrication and installation on site.
Our role in this particular project was to facilitate the steel pre-fabrication, fabrication and installation on site.
- Designing, fabricating and installing of a 640RM custom built reusable self supported hoarding which consisted of 2.4m x 2.1m pre-fabricated tubular frames with pre-painted corrugated iron sheets which were laid diagonally opposite adjacent panels allowing for dynamic lateral loads of up to 0.74KN/Sm or a wind speed of 33M/S.
- Fabrication and installation of a customised ‘bumble bee’ painted Roder HTS Hocker designed 4 inch thick steel pipe brush barriers in varying lengths and types from 1.5M – 5.7m lengths.
- Production, fabrication and installation of ‘made to measure’ stainless steel panels throughout the Terminal for the AC Ventilation systems.
